In a bid to bolster relations with various branches of the government, the National Economic Council (NEC) representatives led by Dr. Ali Issa held a meeting with the House of the People’s Committee on Budget, Finance, Planning, International Cooperation & Public Institutions Oversight. The meeting was chaired by the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of the People Hon. Abdullahi Omar Abshirow with the presence of the Committee Chairman Hon. Mohamed Nur Farah.
The delegation from the National Economic Council shared a report on the work of the NEC with the Committee, while also discussing the strengthening of the collaborative relationship between the two sides and how the NEC could best contribute in the provision of technical support to the work of the Committee.
NEC officials have earlier this week paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the House of People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia H.E Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe where they updated him on the NEC research and policy output since its establishment.
