NEC Executive Director Hassan Adam Hosow attends Chief Economists of Government ‘CEoG’ Forum

The Executive Director of the NEC and Chief Economic Advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Adam Hosow, participated in the Annual Chief Economists of Government Forum in Lusaka, Zambia.

Hosow joined fellow Chief economic advisors to heads of state and governments from across Africa at the 2024 Annual Chief Economists of Government Forum where they engaged in insightful discussions alongside economic advisors, academics, and think tanks from various African nations.

“Honoured to participate in the CEoG Annual Forum 2024 in Lusaka, Zambia, jointly hosted by the WorldBankAfrica and Zambia. Engaged in insightful discussions on “Job Creation in Africa: Constraints and Policy Options” with Economic Advisors to African Heads of State, academia, and think tanks from across Africa.”

This year’s forum, which was jointly organized by the World Bank, focused on the critical theme of “Job Creation in Africa: Constraints and Policy Options”.

While reflecting on the event, Hosow expressed appreciation to the organizers and the World Bank for facilitating a successful forum for knowledge exchange and for their leadership in making the forum impactful.

“Special thanks to Pamela Nakamba, Chief Economic Advisor to President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia, and Andrew Dabalen, WB Africa Chief Economist, for spearheading such a successful and enriching event.” Hosow said.

The Chief Economists of Government (CEoG) network consists of various chief economic advisors to Presidents and Prime Ministers from over 40 African countries

The forum was also attended by experts who included former government advisers and chief economists.
