The National Economic Council has today held a preparatory meeting for the Inter-Ministerial Taskforce responsible for supporting Phase III of the Centennial Vision 2060 development process.
The meeting held at the Office of the Somali Prime Minister’s office, served to initiate preparations for the forthcoming Centennial Vision 2060 (CV2060) Phase III workshop which is scheduled for 21-22 July in Mogadishu.
The upcoming CV2060 Phase III inception workshop shall present the findings of nationwide sectoral assessments conducted under Phase II and draw strategies and coordination mechanisms for Phase III (final phase).
The pivotal two-day event will kick-start Phase III of the Vision development process, and present the findings of nationwide sectoral assessments under Phase II and draw strategies and coordination mechanisms for Phase III (final phase).
Expected participants for the Phase III inception workshop which is part of Somalia’s ambitious CV2060 preparations, include representatives and officials from the Federal Government of Somalia, Federal Member States, the Inter-Ministerial Taskforce, development partners including UNECA, UNCT, and the World Bank, civil society organizations (CSOs), the private sector, academia, and research institutions as part of stakeholder engagement.
The workshop underscores Somalia’s commitment to achieving its ambitious developmental goals outlined in Centennial Vision 2060.
