2nd National Economic Policy Forum

National Economic Council hosted its second-high level National Economic Policy Forum on the 13th of June 2019 in Mogadishu Somalia. Over 150 participants attended the forum and discussed the regional economic cooperation of the Horn of Africa, Somali national investment strategy, financial integrity and accountability, and fiscal federalism, resource sharing, and management. The 2nd NEC policy forum was officially opened by His Excellency Mahdi Mohamed Gulled the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hon. Gamal Hassan, Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, Hon, Mohamed Abdullahi Salad Omar Minister of Aviation and Transport, Hon. Eng Abdulahi Ali Hassan Minister of Commerce and Industrious, Hon, Abdulahi Sheikh Qalocow Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon, Fahma Ahmed Nur Deputy Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development. Hon, Mahmed Said Deputy Minister of Health, Abdirahman Abdulahi Governor of Central Bank, Mohamed Ali Auditor General. Members from the Upper house and Lower house of the parliament were equally in attendance.
