NEC Meets with GETS Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee
The National Economic Council (NEC) has held the kick-off meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee for the Growth and Economic Transformation Strategy (GETS) with the purpose of supporting the preparation process of the GETS Vision spearheaded by NEC.
The meeting, attended by Directors from social & economic line ministries and government agencies, was chaired by Dr. Ali issa, the Executive Director of NEC, who underpinned the need for their continues engagement & commitment to the initiation and finalization process of GETS.
The meeting was officially concluded by H.E Gamal Mohamed Hassan, who pledged the necessary facilitation and support of Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development (MOPIED) to GETS, which shall be formulated through an inclusive, Somali-owned process, with outcomes derived from dialogue among all Somali stakeholders.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”2693,2694,2695,2696,2697,2698,2699,2700,2701,2702,2703,2704,2705″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
