Members of the National Economic Advisors (NEAs) of the National Economic Council (NEC) of Somalia had a productive meeting with the Minister of Finance of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Elmi M. Nur, as well as the State Minister for Finance Mrs. Raho Janaqow.
During their discussions, the two sides delved into the topics regarding key financial priority areas for the government including debt relief process, economic policies, revenue mobilization as well as other topics of interest to both institutions.
During the meeting, both parties agreed on ways to accelerate the reform of the country’s financial system and strengthen the collaboration of the NEC and the Ministry to benefit from the vast technical experience of the National Economic Advisers.
The members of the Council who attended the meeting were as follows; Dr. Ali Issa, Executive Director of the National Economic Council, Dr. Aues Scek, Deputy Executive Director of the National Economic Council, accompanied by Prof. Hussein Warsame and Dr. Sakawddin Mohamed who are both among the members of the National Economic Advisers (NEAs).
