A Delegation from NEC Meets with Presidency Officials
A delegation from the National Economic Council (NEC) of Somalia led by the Executive Director, Dr. Ali Isse, held a meeting with the Presidency officials headed by the Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, H.E Mohamed Abdullahi Isse, alongside Directors of the Presidency’s various departments as well as Senior Advisors to the President of the Federal Government of Somalia.
The meeting aimed at briefing the Presidency officials on and presenting the various programs of the National Economic Council with a particular focus on the Growth and Economic Transformation Strategy (GETS) of Somalia, and the role of the Presidency in partaking in its validation process while also prioritizing its subsequent implementation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed numerous thematic areas pertaining the country’s economic growth and sustainable economic development, and the role of the NEC in coordinating the government’s policymaking towards key economic issues.
